Mmm ... spaghetti  -  @ 2:47 pm
After Cynthia and Cindy left, I made myself spaghetti for lunch. I'm so proud of myself! I actually sorta cooked something and it gave me a sense of accomplishment. Sure, it was incredibly simple, but that's good enough for me. I just boiled spaghetti, cut up some ham and warmed up some cheese, but it felt like I did a lot. Well, at least it took a while. At least about twenty minutes from when I thought of making spaghetti to actually the eating time. I completely guessed everything and made no measurements, but I guess since I had no recipe it would be pointless to try to measure anything anyways. It turned out that I had too much ham and not enough spaghetti, but whatever. I guess next time I'll know. I'm still a bit hungry, but whatever. Dinner will be in about three hours, so I can wait until then. :)

Ah ... and the future is looking good. Our Physics group is progressing steadily on the project, and it looks like we'll be finished in advance of the due date, which is good. Tomorrow is the final practice for the musical. Yay!! :) Haha I dunno, I think the practices are a bit tedious ... I just want to get to the performances! Then on Monday, I have the afternoon off to go to eat yummy French food ... Thursday is the mini school Christmas celebration. Friday is the Christmas potluck for fellowship at church, so we'll be having lots of good stuff too. Somebody always brings sushi to church potlucks ... hehe. Then next Sunday is our musical! :) Then it's just one more week until school is out for Christmas holidays ... things are definitely looking up. And with my new digital camera, I can go and savor every moment ... hehe.

School song  -  @ 4:06 pm
I didn't know it was due today, so I didn't really get much of a chance to try writing any lyrics for it. But I decided that they probably wouldn't care if it came in on Monday, so I started to write a bit just now. Naturally, I was struck with writer's block, since I have no idea how to write a school song. I mean, if I write something like this, I want it to be thoughtful, instead of the usual hokey stuff that I write for school projects. So with that in mind, I wrote. But then it started to just turn into a song about my own personal experiences at Templeton, and not really something that could be applied to the whole school. Bah. It's getting too hard, so I just gave up ... oh well. Maybe I'll take what I have so far and turn it into a different song some time in the future. I'm hoping that by the end of this school year, I'll have finished my song, with music and lyrics completely by me. It's just a little side-project for my own purposes, and I don't know if I really want to share it, but I might.

Yay! Good test results  -  @ 11:56 am
I got back my Physics and Biology tests today, which definitely relieved half of my tension this week. I managed to get 27/27 on the Physics problem set, and 50.5/52 on the test! Then we just fooled around for the rest of the class, doing sample multiple choice problems. On the Biology test, I got 43.5/45, which is pretty good ... but I can't believe I wrote so little on the written section. If I babbled on for a bit longer, I could have gotten perfect. But oh well, I'll try harder next time. I was going to go and ask Mr. Martin to tell me my mark, but I forgot to when I went up to the Mini School during lunch. Instead, I yelled at Mr. Kuniss to teach me about the weather, because I'm not understanding any of this stuff from Mr. Roggeveen's lectures. He just told me to go look online, so pah. Right now, I'm supposed to be doing my Desktop Publishing project, but as usual, I'm not. I'm reading up some stuff to help me with next block's Geography assignment, then maybe I'll consider starting it next class. Oh, by the way, it's due next class. Ah well.

Happy Birthday Angela!!  -  @ 7:18 pm
Upon stepping into the English classroom, Angela got showered in balloons and found us wearing party hats while grinning at her. :) As usual, we sang "Happy Birthday" and she seemed a bit uneasy with all the attention on her ... but it was still fun! I was going to use the streamers that I bought to decorate her desk, but I forgot about it. :( I wanted to buy her an actual present, but I had absolutely no idea what to buy. Hmm ... are balloons and party hats enough? Stupid Kai went and tried to steal half of the hats, so I chased after him and just grabbed them off his head. Bah. Mmm ... that strawberry cheesecake at lunch was really good. I hope she had fun ... I know I had a lot of fun! :) We gave Becky the remains of the cake, and she gladly accepted it! I'm beginning to think that Becky's all for practically any food ... hehe!

Le Fils De Superman  -  @ 12:52 am
I finally got around to downloading this song, and I've encoded it for the radio. Yeah, I know I'm lazy ... I always leave the same song up for so long. Ah well, new song today. :) I'll try to change it every two days or so. I don't think anyone actually ever listens to it, but I like to have a bit of my own music to listen to during my spare at school. Aww ... this song is so sad. I think I like Celine's version better, though. I just can't seem to find it ... argh. I would ask to borrow Mme. Howell's tape again, but I felt bad about borrowing it, then not reviewing it. Oh well.

Alien Kelly  -  @ 9:29 pm
I got bored and colorized a black-and-white photo of Kelly that I've never seen before. She kinda looks like she has a skin disease, but whatever. I like the way her colorized eyes turned out. :) It's actually a pretty sloppy job, overall, but it was just something to entertain me for fifteen minutes. A lot of the color goes out of the lines, and I didn't fully color other parts. Ah well.

Digicam hunting  -  @ 6:58 pm
I woke up at 8:30am this morning to go digicam hunting with Andrew today, trying to get something that's in a reasonable price range, but still high quality. I think I'm going to go with either the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P51 or the Olympus America Camedia D-520 Zoom. I still have to contemplate a couple more detailed issues, but I'll see how it goes.

We poked around at a couple stores looking for Andrew's Star Wars toys, but we didn't end up finding anything, so we just went to lunch at Sushi Garden. It was the best eight bucks that I ever spent on sushi. :) Mmm ... they put so much fish on their nigiri, which is so much better than what I'm used to. I'm usually served these smaller sushi pieces with the fish barely covering the rice ... bah. It seems like smaller sushi shops are better than the big all-you-can-eat type places.

I wanted to go to Pilgrim's, but I felt about dragging Andrew all the way down Kingsway to a remote bookstore for absolutely no reason, so we went to Brentwood Mall instead. But when we were switching lines at Broadway, we decided to go to Jen's house and steal her Physics bridge ideas ... hehe. :) After a small chat, we took off to Brentwood and bought some very 'interesting' things ... hehe. I'd say more, but I wouldn't want to spoil the fun. I still think that Andrew should have bought the 'Go Girl!' wrapping paper for his KK! :D

I finally got home at about 4pm, then I took a nap for about half an hour. I'm doing a little more digicam research right now, trying pick apart the two that I mentioned a while back. I'll start studying for French soon, because I really have to get a good mark on this test.

Fun day, fun day ... :)

Popsicle bridges  -  @ 6:00 pm
Somebody who was searching up popsicle bridges found my site. It just goes to show you that there are lots of evil Physics teachers out there that share their project ideas online. This is actually getting a bit freaky. I mean, I even found my Geography project when I searched up "Zapnoonoo" at Google.

For Once In My Life  -  @ 5:44 pm
I'm in such a boppy mood right now. :) I've been singing this song practically all day, even when I was alone at the bus stop ... I think I scared a couple people that were standing around me. Ah well, they just don't appreciate my wonderful voice! ;-)

For once in my life
I have someone who needs me
Someone I've needed so long
For once unafraid
I can go where life leads me
And somehow I know I'll be strong

For once I can touch
What my heart used to dream of
Long before I knew
Someone warm like you
Could make my dreams come true

For once in my life
I won't let sorrow hurt me
Not like it's hurt me before
For once I have something
I know won't desert me
'Cause I'm not alone anymore

For once I can say
This is mine, you can't take it
As long as I know
I've got love I can make it
For once in my life
I've got someone who needs me

For once in my life
I won't let sorrow hurt me
Not like it's hurt me before
For once I have something
I know won't desert me
'Cause I'm not alone anymore

For once I can say
This is mine, you can't take it
As long as I know
I've got love I can make it
For once in my life
I've got someone who needs me

Bridges  -  @ 10:15 pm
I just got home from Cindy's house about half an hour ago, after working on the bridge project for two hours. We spent a lot of the time just fooling around, but we did manage to get a lot of work done at the same time. Cindy's Internet wasn't working when we tried it, so Abby offered to call Shaw for her. Apparently, her Internet connection is unstable and she never knows when it will work or not, even though she has cable. It was funny when Abby started to hit on the customer service guy ... hehe. At the end of the conversation, he offered to replace the modem for free if it goes down again.

Cynthia was hiccupping throughout the phone call, and it was especially funny when she laughed and hiccupped at the same time! Listening to Cindy's Christmas/Disney oldies music was fun too. All in all, we goofed around for a long time, but we've pretty much finished the design of the bridge. We have a couple things to finalize, but I think we're pretty much good to go. I don't even feel that hungry right now, even though I was really hungry after the LPI. I guess eating Cynthia's blueberry muffin and Italian fruitcake filled me up. :)

I think I did alright on the LPI. It's probably borderline 4/5 work, so it could go either way. But I think I had an interesting introduction and a good transition between my first and second body paragraphs, so maybe I'll get points for that. I'm still very unsure about the sentence structure section, but I think I did well on the word usage section. Hopefully it will balance out. On all my practice exams, I always ended up with about 80% on the multiple choice sections after adding up all three sections.

I don't know how well I did on my Physics test. It seemed to be a bit on the difficult side, but I just did the questions to the best of my ability. Biology was much easier, except I wrote the wrong answer for the last fill in the blank question. I don't know why "gene therapy" didn't come to mind. I knew that "recombination" was the wrong answer, but I didn't know what else to write. Ah well, maybe I'll get a perfect test next time. I'm pretty sure I got the phenotype and genotype questions right, but then again, I'm not totally sure about them. I said that they're both controlled by base pairing, because the phosphate, sugar and helix don't have any genetic function. Oh well, it's over with, so I won't worry too much about it.

I'm worried about the French test because it sounds really difficult. There seems to be a lot of writing, so I'm going to be studying madly for it. I want to improve my French, so I'm going to force myself to finish reading my Zapnoonoo books and watch the French channel more often. I don't really care about Geography that much, but I'm still determined to understand how the weather works. It would be interesting to learn that anyways. Once I get this week over with, I can just relax because I'll only have a couple projects to do, which shouldn't be too bad. I have really cool group members, so it'll be fun working on them. I already had a blast working on my bridge project today! :)
